Vampire cat has no self-reflection

When we brought our sibling kittens (Sephiroth and Ritsuka) home, the very first thing Ritsuka noticed was a mirror with a very scary kitten in it! To this day, I have never seen him react so defensively. All of his frizzy little kitten furs were standing on end and he was frozen in terror, afraid to make the first move. Aside from that instance, none of our cats seem to take any notice of mirrors.  I imagine that, like a stylish and self-assured vampire, cats know they always look good and don’t need any validation in that department. They certainly do not spend any time reflecting on their bad behavior. I don’t know if they are incapable of such rumination or just can’t be bothered.
