The Nightmare Before Catmas
Merry Catmas to all, and to all a good night!
One of my favorite parts in The Nightmare Before Christmas (there are LOTS of really good parts I could talk about) is when Jack is (literally, figuratively) reduced to tattered pieces after being shot out of the sky. He realizes his big Christmas plan is a failure and he has caused a lot of harm. He mopes around feeling guilty for all of a couple minutes before flipping 180 degrees and happily singing, “Well, what the heck, I went and did my best!” and getting totally amped up for next Halloween! I love that his shift in attitude preempts his actually doing anything to fix the problems he’s caused. That Jack Skellington, what a positive guy! I could really learn a thing or two from him.
If you celebrate Catmas, (or even if you don’t) I wish you good cheer! Go spend time with people that you like and don’t worry if you’ve been naughty or nice this year. Sandy Claws doesn’t really care, just the same.
