Franz Catka woke to find himself not transformed into a hideous monster, and immediately fell back asleep where he could feel less alienated.
Is 2017 already not meeting your unrealistic expectations? Try going back to sleep!

The main character in the Metamorphosis is Gregor Samsa, not Franz Kafka (who wrote it), but Gregor Samsa is hard to make into a cat pun, and there is no doubt that Kafka also felt rather alienated. Unlike Samsa, though, I don’t think Kafka ever physically transformed into some sort of giant vermin bug monster. I could be wrong, though. I mean, I don’t know the guy.
