Why are people that claim to know the future always so dodgy about it? I mean, other than the fact that they are lying. Or that they are a fictional character meant to insert vague foreshadowing into a story for the audience’s benefit, but it would ruin the suspense to just tell you straight out. Or they really do know the future, but know that YOU don’t really want to know the future, because knowing the future for realsies when you can’t do anything to change it is probably not beneficial to anyone, and people will probably just end up mad at them for knowing things that aren’t their fault…

Cats sometimes have a look about them- like they know something that you don’t. If that’s true, well- maybe it’s for the best.
