Enchanting Cats

Hufflefluff just wants belly pets.

Portrait of our cat, Ritsuka, keeper and sharer of the soft belly furs. He turns 6 years old today, along with his sister, Sephiroth. Sephiroth is a Slytherin through and through, but gentle giant Ritsuka is just fluff covered fluff with fluff filling. He is a sensitive boy after my own heart. Six years ago today someone abandoned three kittens on the day they were born at a shelter that could not care for them. Someone caring and brave took them in instead, and made sure they had a warm place to sleep and plenty to eat until we could come and take them home. One of those kittens didn’t make it through, but the two that did are here with us. They have never known hunger and always known love. They will never know how lucky they are. Though Ritsuka has no concept of the fate he escaped that day 6 years ago, he shows his appreciation to us every day by striking this expectant pose and letting us touch the softest, fluffiest underbelly the world has ever seen.
