Cattivated
cattivated
(past participle verb)
KAT-tuh-veyt-ed
1. held transfixed, staring at a point in space with a look of surprise and intense concentration, for what seems like a really long time to be looking at the opposite wall where there is absolutely nothing in particular that is noticeable or strange, unless there is some invisible thing unseen by most but once seen cannot be unseen, an immaterial creature that has always been a part of your house and has been watching your every move, a specter of unimaginable horror tethered to this world by a force of profound evil and who will inevitably come for you; it’s coming for you and only the cat knows, the cat KNOWS! Holy crap, everyone knows that cats have ghost senses! Get out before it’s too late! Get out get out get out get out GET OUT!
If you have a cat, you know the look. Don’t pretend that you aren’t unnerved by it. Sometimes they just stare off with bizarre intensity and it’s creepy. So we joke that our cats are seeing ghosts again. By the way, I would totally watch a reality TV show about ghost hunting cats. Just film a bunch of cats lurking about a haunted looking house and add in some voice overs to explain the cats thoughts and ghost explanations. Can someone make this?
Today’s catspiration is Cleo, a beautiful cat owned by my #1 fan, Emily, who is sweet and I’m sure will forgive me for intending to do something special for her birthday and ending up writing this instead for some reason, even though it has nothing to do with birthdays or celepurrations and isn’t even happy at all.
