American Shortfuse Cat
American Shortfuse Cat could go mewclear at any moment.
Mewclear is even harder to pronounce than nuclear. Mewclear Mewclear Mewclear. Fun fact, the United States still has around 7,000 nuclear warheads. Did I say fun? I meant terrifying!
The American Shorthair breed is said to have descended from cats brought over on the Mayflower and bred to be good rodent hunters with friendly personalities. The Domestic Shorthair is the non-pedigree cousin of the American Shorthair, looking very similar and making up around 90-95% of house cats in the United States. They are everywhere! The great thing about Domestic Shorthairs is that their diverse melting pot of a gene pool means that they are not prone to the health problems that many purebred cats experience. My shorthairs are healthy kitties!
